What a month....

**WARNING!!**
this is a super long post, with NO pictures. Its mostly for me to look back on. Oh and my Nana and Bo are like my 2nd set of parents. I love them that much, if not more than my first set! HA HA!

I think its the moon. Or maybe just the month. Or whatever it is, I wish everything would just go back to normal. Or maybe this is the new normal. Who knows. Well I know one person who knows. Him. And as long has He knows then I'm OK with that.

So what I am I rambling about?

Let me just fill you in on my month of October.

October started off with out a hitch. We had the fair, the boys turned a YEAR AND A HALF (holy cow batman!) and we went to Ft. Worth. All in one weekend.

 Fun times.

No Seriously, we were havin' a grand time!

Then out of no where. Well I really cant say "out of no where" because my Bo (my grandfather) his health has been declining steadily for the last few months.

But back to the, "out of no where" point I'm trying to make, my Bo, started to refuse to get out of bed. For NOTHING. OK well maybe if he had to do #2 (sorry for the TMI) but that's it.

Home Health had been coming over to their house, since his last stint in the hospital at the end of September. So it seemed that everything was kind of working its way back to where it was.

So we thought.

Then my Nana, up and decided to fire home health. Something on the lines, of she thought she could get something better for my Bo or something? I'm really not sure why she did this. But she did...

This was a Friday-the 8th if your keeping up...

Then the 9th-Saturday rolls around... And she calls me at work. Not surprised, but the next thing out of her mouth was a slap in the face type surprise....

"Melissa, my chest hurts really bad, I think its my heart, and I cant find your mom." My stomach hit the floor.
I said,"well she is at my house keeping the boys, but I'm on my way to take you to the hospital." I jump in my jeep and hit the gas pedal. All the while thinking, "how is this happening the day AFTER she fires home health? Who is going to take care of Bo, and then thinking, Oh God please let my Nana be OK."
All the while making arrangements with my sister and my mom of who was going where to take care/be with who via cell phone. Thank God to whoever invented those!!!!

So we make it to the hospital, and they decide to keep her a couple of days.

Then reality really sets in.

My Bo is at home in the bed, and refuses to move, and since my Nana fired the home health folks, their was literally no one there to take care of him. Lovely, just lovely.

So my mom basically had to move in with them to take care of him till my Nana came home from the hospital. Which would be in a few days. Or so we thought.

Things went from OK to bad to worse, and on Wed. the 13th (if your keeping up) the hospital sent her to a major hospital in a bigger town, 1.5 hours away. OH and she was in ICU at this hospital. NICE...

Yeah right!

So my mom, God love her, who still staying with my Bo,  have Amy and I race down to Tyler-where they transported my Nana too, and stay with her for a few hours.

And to be with the ones to talk to the DR. Seriously that talk was the most grown up I properly have felt in my adult life.

Our options?? Open heart surgery or try to control everything with meds and diet. Seriously??

Amy then arranges for her MIL to stay with my Bo, so that my mom can head down to be with her momma too.

Stressed yet??? Yeah us too.. just a little..

Amy and I go back down right after I get off work, on Thursday night to be with Nana as well. We couldn't stand the thought of her being down their by her self. And then since Emily's baby shower was that Sunday, we  did a little shopping afterwards.

Then we proceeded to get lost. With me driving. At 11:30 at night. With Amy in the back seat laughing her butt off hysterically.
I may or may not have started to tear up a little, and  I may or may not have told Amy to ZIP it! We made it home and I was in bed by 2:00am.

My mom had called in her siblings... Dang skippy I would have too!!!
The 2 brothers made it that weekend to be with Nana. And they then all talked about the situation. My Aunt (who lives in PA) couldn't be here, but she had already made plans to come be with us the last week in Oct. (which is right now, and she is here!!! YAY!)

Oh and just for the record.... I had an "At Home" party that I went to on Friday night, then worked on Saturday, and then did 3 hour stint in Wal-Mart with Robby and the boys Saturday afternoon, then stayed up till 2am working on Emilys baby shower present which was the next day, Sunday the 17th.

They (my mom, her 2 brothers and sister) decided over the weekend to go with what Nana wanted to do and try to control her heart issues with meds and diet. And she got to come home Monday the 18th. I went to get her for my mom.

 All by my self.

And I didn't get lost!!! Go me!!

Seems everything was rolling right along just peachy after my Nana got home.

Till Wednesday the 20th, when my Bo finally decided that he would after all go to his Dr. Appt. They did an X-ray. He had a cracked back. When my mom called to tell me this news, all I could do was shake my head. Seriously? Lordy Lou.

He came home that Friday. Not because the Dr. let him, but because he refused everything they tried to do for him. He is THAT stubborn! man alive, and  people wonder where I get from?! Just saying!

Soooo we are now caught up to date. This month went from great, to bad, to really really bad, to bad again, to I guess the new normal.

My mom is still staying with them, because they really cant do anything for them selves. My Nana is just to weak, and my Bo is being him self and just ringin' his bell (literally, my mom gave him a bell to ring, cause she couldn't hear him when he called out to her!) whenever he needs something. HA!

BUT!!!!

Their has been good that has came out of this..... I have seen family, I would have other wise not seen because of all this. And for that I am grateful! I love visiting with them! And, we have been going over to my Nana and Bo's house just about every night for the last 2.5 weeks. I have really enjoyed that too. And the boys really have! They love to get their "coooookie" from Nana and Bo lets them sip Diet Coke (don't judge!) from his cup and straw.  They are just a little spoiled.

So that's my month in a nut shell. Hopefully my Nana and Bo will get better. I hate seeing them like this. But I am preparing my self in case this is the NEW normal for my family.

Hangin' Out with Nana

A couple of weeks ago, actually the very beginning of October, me and the boys headed over to see my Nana and Bo (aka-my grandparents!) This was before their health declined at the speed of light.

wheww weeee...

That's another post!

But anyway we over to visit with them and the boys wanted to show off their new baseball caps. These caps were a "prize" from Aunt Emily when she went to Missouri to watch her boyfriend, Johnny, graduate from the Army. To say that they love them is a HUGE understatement! They wear them all the time, especially Easton.

And a final treat before we headed home, ICECREAM!!!

Emily's Baby Shower!

Saturday, Oct. 17th, my Aunt Amy and cousin Brittany, hosted a baby shower for my little sister, Emily. It was all done in PINK! They went to so much effort and everything was so pretty and perfect! Emily got lots of good gifts, and now we are just waiting for Miss Kaiten to get here!

 all the food! YUM!

 Cute drink station....

 More food!

 Pinkalious cup cakes!

 Brittany, Emily and Amy

Cam saying, "Yay I get a cup cake!!"

all the gifts and Easton swiping someones phone!

We had such a great time. After everyone left, Amy, my sis, Brittany and I just hung out and caught up on everything, which we don't have a lot of time to do any more. We were all just a chit-chatting and all of our boys were just playing in the floor. And all of a sudden, someone pointed out the boys....

They were all playing TOGETHER!

I had dreamed of this day!!

I promise yall, it was almost so surreal! Brittany, Amy and I were so close growing up and I had always wanted our kids to be able to play together and such.
Soooo Sweet! We are defiantly going to have to do this more often!!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the fair here in town. Its an annual event and we always look forward to it! We went both Friday and Saturday nights. Well Friday night, I left my camera at home. And then I had to help out at the Livestock Auction on Saturday, so Robby brought the boys up after I was done for little more fair fun!

18 months old! or "they are a year and a half" :(

**This post is super duper late!!! On Oct. 3rd they were 18 months old!**

This is what I tell folks now these days when they ask how old the boys are. Its sad because time is flying by. But on the other hand, it makes me so happy that they are getting so big, smart and everything else!

We spent Sunday, the 3rd, in Ft. Worth, for Robby's grandmothers 80th Birthday. We all had a grand time.(I am going to do a whole 'nother post on this!)

What are yall up to these days???
-yalls newest "thing" is loving on each other. You both will hug and kiss each other, the sweetest thing EVER!!!
-both talking  more and more every day...I was little worried about Camden, but he is finally getting the whole talking thing down. I am sure he is saying all kinds of words to me, i just cant understand it all yet.
-Camdens new word is essssse. as in  when I say, "cheese".... It may or may not be because I take a lot of pictures. :)
-Eastons new word is "wasit" as in, "what is it." So cute
-Easton is still calling Robby, Bobby, instead of Daddy... We are hoping its a phase.
-Easton still has 12 teeth...
-Camdens bottom 2 first molars  finally broke through last week. So now he is caught up with Easton.
-both still love yalls bath..
-speaking of baths, yall take them more frequently now... Because you both LOVE playing in the dirt. We have a mole that creates these piles of dirt in our yard, and you both love to got play in those piles of dirt.
-Both of you are ALL BOY!!
-Yalls favorite toys right now are little toy cars, a tractor that used to be Jordan's and phones.
-Camden is still on breathing treatments through out the day and one at night, usually around midnight.
-both can point to your nose, eyes and mouth, maybe with a tiny bit of help, but you both usually ALWAYS get the nose right every single time...
-we are working on animal sounds. So far we can mimic a cow, horse, chicken, and several others, that daddy throws in the mix sometimes! haha!
-Easton is in 2T and some 18-24 months and size 6 diaper
-Camden is in 18-24 months, mostly 18 months, and some 12-18 months clothes and a size 5 diaper.

This is the best picture of them together that I got that day!!!

I cant believe that yall are already a year and half old. It just seems sooo surreal.

I guess at one point he tried to take his shirt off, then maybe put it back on? Im not sure. But it was hilarious!

Im payin' for my raisin'!!

Have you ever heard that before? That when you have kids that basically what ever you did bad as a kid, that your kid(s) would do the same? Well I am payin' for my raisin'!!

BIG TIME!!

You see, my sister and I were biters. My mom has told me numerous stories of how we would bite each other. Well now I am in her shoes.... Kinda..

I only have 1 biter. I will go ahead and let you guess which of boys is the bitten and the biter.

Did you guess Camden for the biter? Oh you didn't? Because you thought, oh not sweet, little Cam would bite Easton to the point that every time Easton would see Camden, he would take off running in the other direction?

Yeah.. it got to be that bad...

Take a look for your self...

BAD huh???!!!!

little toot!

Soooo what to do?

Lets just say that we had to become the bad guys(parent wise) for Eastons sake. And for the last few days, Camden hasn't sunk his little teefers into any one or anything other than food.

Thank goodness!!!!

Baby "K"

Do you remember this post, and this post too? And any other posts that I have mentioned that my little sister has a "favorite" of Camden and Easton. Well if you hadn't notice or you just don't feel like clicking on the links, I will just go ahead and tell you that its Camden, by far. Don't get me wrong, she loves Easton too, but to say that her and her Cam don't have something special going on would be a big fat lie!

WELLLLLL.....

Camden is in for a rude awaking here in ohhh about 2 months... maybe less..

You see, Emily is due around Thanksgiving with her baby girl, Kaiten. (CUTE name, huh??!!)

So we have been trying to prepare both the boys for her arrival. Easton will lift Emily's shirt up and say" bbbaaayyyybeeee!!" Cutest thing ever! And Camden will give her kisses,(on Em's belly) SOOO sweet!!!

 Going in for a kiss!!

Easton loving on baby K...

So I think they understand that she is having a baby, but I guess we really wont know how they will respond till baby K gets here!!!!

Update

In my last post, I mentioned that if Camden wasnt doing any better by the second week, that we have to either go see Dr. B in Dallas or try some new meds. Well he wasnt doing an better by Monday, so I went ahead and put a call in to her office.  She called me back, the DR, not a nurse, needless to say I was quite shocked to hear her on the other end of the phone. So we talked about how he was acting, what his symptoms were and so on. She said that she wanted to get him on steroids and an antibotic. So thats where we are now. He is still on all his med from the previous post plus these new meds, and breathing treatments every 4 hours during the day and at least one in the middle of the night.
