Roseola

So last Wednesday night, Easton spiked a high fever out of no where! I was thinking it might be to his nose or maybe an infection tied to his nose. So I gave him some advil and through out the night it kept spiking as soon as the advil would wear off. So Thursday morning I called the Dr.'s office and they asked me to bring him in.

So we go in and nope its nothing to do with his nose, which is doing really good, he has Roseola.

WHAT THE HECK??? Seriously!

Anyway, its a virus that is very common in young kids (6 months to 3 years) and basically it has an incubation period of around 17 days, and once it hits, they(kiddos) run a high fever, sometimes up to 105! YIKES! And some other symptoms include flu like symptoms, swollen eye lids, loss of appetite, and a rash all over their body after 3-5 days after the fever starts. Oh and its VERY contagious while they are running the fever.

NICE!

Well, Easton is in his rash stage now, and its barely noticeable. And Camden is running fever now, but I am more prepared with him. We've already stocked up on more Advil, Tylenol and Gatorade.

You wanna know something weird? Easton had all the above symptoms except for the flu-like symptoms. And Camden only has the tell-tell high fever and the flu-like systems.

Must be a twin thing!

But Camden has been like this for 2 days now, so in about 3 more days, our house should be back to normal!
