My poor baby...

... is soooo sicky poo!

(this is the only pic I could find in a hurry!)

Me and this little man are fixing to head to see Dr. Connor. I noticed on Tuesday afternoon when I picked the boys up from the babysitter, that Camden was a little wheezy. It still wasn't better by Wednesday, so I called the Dr. office and spoke with a nurse, who in turn spoke to Dr. Connor and they just prescribed a cough medicine and an antibiotic. Well he is taken 5 doses of the antibiotic already, and he is doing worse. His wheezy if very noticeable, and his pour cough is horrible! So I called the Dr. again today to see if their was anything else we could be doing, and instead, Dr. Connor wants to see him. I am hoping and praying that it is nothing more than a cold. RSV and pneumonia is bad in our area right now. I hate that my baby is so sick, and I am praying that he gets better soon!

p.s. for people that aren't family and friends that read my blog, we are NOT at a bar. My dad owns a restaurant(which does have bar related items in it!) here in town where we live, and we went there a couple of weeks ago to eat an early dinner. Just getting it all out their, so no one thinks anything other wise!

I think my hands just got a little more full....

Do you see what I'm talking about? If not look where Camden's feet are, and where Eastons foot is. Yep I think they are turning into little monkeys. Oh my!! I don't think I am ready for this!!

Because of the testing of the boundaries this weekend, this little mister fell off the chair and now has a big ole bruise on his forehead.(its not visible here. This pic was taken Saturday and the accident happened Sunday afternoon) And the kicker, I was sitting right there, just facing the other direction. Boys will be boys!!

And this little man? He has started cruising the furniture this weekend and even took 2 steps by himself to me last night! Yep that's right, I'm thinking here in the next month I will have a walker on my hands! I seriously don't think I'm ready for this!!

Oh and their little personalities have really started to shine. Does this face not have attitude written all over it or what??!!

This is a new game they play. It really is kinda cute. If one of them finishes their bottle first, they crawl over to the other one and try to take that ones away. MOST of the time they are laughing, but some times they mean business, and don't feel like playing. But on this given day, they were in a pretty playful mood!!

I wish I could sleep like this...

This is what I found when I went to check on the boys last night, before I went to bed.
Easton, all sprawled out, foot propped up snoozing peacefully!!

And here's Camden. Ignore the striped sheets, we've had the stomach bug, and I have washed sheets all week.

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

Sunday was so pretty outside. So I opened a few windows in the house while I was cleaning and the boys pretty much posted up there the entire afternoon! I can't wait for spring to get so we can go out side and play!!

9 month well visit...

The boys 9 month well visit went great yesterday! Easton weighed in at 22.6lbs and was 29 3/4 inches long. And Camden was(don't you dare laugh) weighed in 17.2lbs and was 27 3/4 inches long. Easton was in the 75Th percentile in everything and Camden was in the 25Th percentile in everything. Camden is littler Easton. No question about it. But Dr. Connor assured me that he was perfectly healthy and that developmentally they are the same, and even though Camden may be little, he is not behind in anything. Whewww. Those are things a parent loves to hear!!!

This was the only picture I got of them while we were at the Dr. before my camera died. As you can see, they were paying no attention to me! Camden was to hungry and Easton was watching the Jungle Book on TV.

And just to toot my own horn... Dr. Connor gave me great kudos for bringing the boys in all by myself. I asked him if his other patients parents did it by them selves and he said that he didn't have many. But that he was proud of me, and that I always everything "put together". Look at me go! HA!!

New Tooth!

I went home for lunch today and Easton was giving me his little toothy grin, and guess what I noticed? Yup! His left upper tooth had poked through! And the right upper one was *almost* through the skin! No wonder my little Easter Bunny wasn't the best baby this past weekend!! (don't laugh at my baby's nickname! ha!) I checked for new toothys for Camden and I didn't feel any, but I am sure it wont be to much longer.

Im gonna miss this...

I was reading here yesterday and I got all teary eyed all of a sudden. It brought back so many memories and the feeling that Mckmama had, I to can remember the exact moment when I felt that I had better soak up every memory of my two little ones, because it wasn't going to last. I was going to miss the feeling of their billowy soft hair against my lips as I rocked them to sleep. I was going to miss the fact that they loved to snuggle and molded perfect to my body. I was going to miss that sweet newborn smell that newborns have. I was going to miss those little coos, and those half crooked grins. They would soon be growing up, and before I knew it they would be teenagers, not wanting to snuggle with me, and then next they would go to college. Then the horror struck me, then they would get MARRIED and have BABIES of their own! (or the other way around, like I have done, which is ok too!) Oh the nerve of them!! HAHA!! So that night, as I held Camden, I continued rocking him with him on my chest. The boys were about 2 months old at this point. And then I went and layed him in bed and got Easton out of bed, just to hold him and we rocked for at least an hour. After that night, and still to this day, I even did it last night, went and got them out of bed, just to snuggle. I feel good knowing that when they are grown up, I can think back to all those nights, that I loved on them just because. Not because they were restless or they were crying or because they didn't feel good. No reason other than I wanted too. Its a good feeling knowing!!! So all you new mothers out their, soak it ALL in, because your babies will grow up and you too will miss them being little babies.

Baby wipes...

I have been meaning to post this for quite some time. Homemade baby wipes are simple to make and smell sooooo good, and I've kicked my self for not making them sooner. They are also great for sensitive skin, which Camden has, which he picked up from me. Yuck. But back to baby wipes. They are super easy to make, very cost effective and great for sensitive skin. The ingredients include: Viva paper towels, do NOT skimp in this area, baby wash and baby oil.

Cut your paper towels in half with a serrated knife. This takes a minute and kinda makes a mess.

here ya go.. just stash away the other half away for your next batch...

Remember these horrid things? Ugly as sin, BUT makes a very nice homemade baby wipe dispenser!

This is what was going on as I was doing this... ignore the ugly pj pants!

2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of baby wash, 2 tablespoons of baby oil, mix together and pour over the the paper towels.

just reach in and pull the inner core out. If it doesn't want to come out, you may need to add a little more water and let it sit just for a minute.

Pull from the middle and there you go, homemade baby wipes! Easy as pie to make, and only took about 5 minutes to make!

Kinsler Slade

Everybody remembers this pretty lady, don't we? In case your not a family member or a friend that reads my blog, this is my twin sister, Amy.

this was at my baby shower and right before...

she found she was pregnant!!! (she is holding Camden here), They decided, right off the bat, they weren't going to find out the sex of the baby.

This was at a wedding we went to in June, giving me her usual smile when I say, "smile Aim"! She never listened to me!

Anyway, she had a very minor complication at the end of June and had to keep her feet up for a few days...(loving on Cam)

But she kept trucking... She was way more sick than I ever was.. poor thing!! (loving on East)

Here she is about 6 months pregnant, and at the fair, looking VERY good, I might add!!

Still at the fair holding a very sleepy Easton.

Striking a pose.. she is gonna kill me when she this!!

9 months!!

January 3, 2010

Lordy lou! I think the pictures explain enough about what I go through to get these done every month!!!
What are they up to??
-eating more and more solid foods
-still drinking 4-5 6oz bottles daily
-loving: diced peaches, diced carrots(cooked), peas, cheese, yogurt, egg yolks, avocado and stage 2 & 3 baby food.
-crawling and pulling up on everything
-speed crawling
-babbling.. Camden says dada and Easton says mama and hi
-wearing 6-9 and 12 months and size 4 in shoes
-wearing size 3 diaper
-still not sleeping through the night. They sometime do, but its not consistant.
-comes to whoever, when they say their name
-playing and more and more with their toys and with each other
-kinda shy around new people
We go to the Dr. on Friday, for their 9 month well visit, so I will know then how long they are and how much the weigh. I am kind anxious to see how much the weigh!!
They are such good babies, and I thank God everyday for giving them to me!!!
